Meet Jacob Bennett, our Digital Marketing Coordinator! 🌟
Helping our members achieve their financial goals takes dedication, experience, and a commitment to service at every level of Education First FCU. Behind that commitment are employees whose journeys within the credit union shape the way we support our members every day. This month, we're spotlighting Jacob Bennett, our Digital Marketing Coordinator, and their path through the credit union. Their experience reflects the growth, learning, and member-focused mindset that defines our team and the work we do.
When Jacob joined in 2023, he started as a floating teller, stepping into different roles wherever he was needed to support members and enhance the member experience. “I think being a floater gave me perspective on how excellent service to our members can come in a bunch of different ways,” he said. “The experiences I gained from helping our members have really shaped my mindset in my current position.” Whether assisting members in the contact center, at the branch, or through ITMs, Jacob consistently prioritized the member experience and went above and beyond to meet their needs.
After a short stint as a teller at our Lamar branch, Jacob transitioned into the ITM department, a role that felt like a natural next step given his prior experience supporting members there as a floating teller. “It really was a great fit as I loved getting the chance to help our members feel more comfortable using this new technology,” he said. In this role, Jacob combined his member service experience with hands-on support for innovative banking tools, guiding members through transactions and helping them adapt to a more digital way of banking with confidence and ease.
“What really helped me was being able to put myself in our members’ shoes, understand their challenges, and focus on building their comfort and confidence when using our ITM machines for their banking needs,” he said.
Now, as a member of our marketing team serving as a Digital Marketing Coordinator, Jacob supports members in a different way, helping ensure they stay informed, engaged, and up to date on everything happening at Education First FCU. “While I’m not in front of members as much anymore, it’s all about finding ways to still make that impact and help our members,” he said.
From supporting members face-to-face to helping shape how we communicate with them today, Jacob’s journey reflects a consistent focus on member service. In every role, his goal has remained the same: helping members feel confident, supported, and connected to their credit union. If you’re not already a member of Education First FCU, we’d love the opportunity to serve you and help you reach your financial goals. Get started with us today
