Employee Spotlight: Miley Overstreet

July 23, 2026

Meet Miley Overstreet, our Mortgage Loan Processor! 🌟

At Education First FCU, we take pride in the family atmosphere we've built, and employees like Miley are a big part of what makes it possible. During her six years with the credit union, Miley has consistently embodied our values, fostering a welcoming environment and strengthening the sense of family in every role she's held. In this employee spotlight, we're excited to share Miley's journey with Education First FCU and highlight the experiences, growth, and connections that have shaped her career.

Back in 2020, Miley began her career at Education First, joining the team as a Contact Center Agent and floating teller, stepping in wherever she was needed. From the beginning, she felt a strong sense of community and a welcoming work environment.

“Every day, it doesn’t feel like you’re coming to a team or a job; you’re coming to a family. Everyone is very encouraging, and they don’t only care about you at work, but also you as a person.”

At the start of 2021, Miley became a full-time Member Service Representative at our Silsbee branch and was shortly promoted to MSR II, allowing her to expand her role by assisting members with loans. In 2022, she continued her journey at the Kountze branch, where she stayed until recently. Throughout each role, Miley has seen firsthand the impact credit union employees can have on members’ lives.

“Our members’ experience with the credit union is our top priority,” she said. “They can tell we will do everything we can to help them succeed and achieve their financial goals. They come to us with what they need, and we find a way to make that happen.”

Miley now serves on the Mortgage team as a Mortgage Loan Processor, where she helps members navigate their home loan needs. This, along with her experiences in the branch and Contact Center, has given her a unique perspective on what makes Education First the right choice for members.

“We do have very competitive rates and great products, but what makes us stand out as a credit union would primarily be how we treat our members,” she said. “Whether it’s us helping them through their toughest time or walking them through their biggest milestones, I believe that we are there for them every step of the way.”

Miley’s journey at Education First is a great example of how employees can grow within the credit union while making a meaningful impact on the members we serve. From helping members in the Contact Center and branches to now supporting their homeownership goals through the Mortgage team, Miley has built her career around providing the guidance and support members need at every stage of life.

Here at Education First FCU, it’s our people who make the difference. Our employees are committed to creating meaningful relationships, helping members achieve their financial goals, and being there for life’s biggest moments and challenges.
